[Yakup News] CARM Hosts Open Innovation Investment Conference

Supporting Growth in Korea’s Advanced Regenerative Bio Industry and Investment in Promising Companies

The Council for Advanced Regenerative Medicine (CARM) announced on the 20th that it will hold the 2nd CARM Open Innovation Investment Conference on Wednesday the 21st at Hall E on the third floor of COEX.

The conference is one of CARM’s key annual initiatives, designed to promote Korea’s advanced regenerative biotechnology industry and support promising companies in attracting investment.

This year’s event will be co-hosted with the Korea Regenerative Medicine Fund (KFRM), which oversees the government’s regenerative medicine R&D program, and supported by the Korea Venture Capital Association, Korea Investment Partners, and Daily Partners.

Congratulatory remarks are scheduled to be delivered by Eun Seong-ho, Director General for Advanced Medical Support at the Ministry of Health and Welfare; Noh Yeon-hong, Chairman of the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association; Hwang Man-soon, CEO of Korea Investment Partners; and Yoon Keon-soo, Chairman of the Korea Venture Capital Association.

The program will begin with a keynote presentation by Chairman Yoon, followed by IR presentations from 16 regenerative medicine companies and Q&A and advisory sessions with approximately 55 domestic investment firms.

A number of strategic investors will also participate to assess investment trends in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors for the second half of the year and explore potential business partnerships. Following the IR presentations, one-on-one meetings between investors and CARM member companies are also scheduled.

CARM said it hopes the conference will help revive weakened investment sentiment in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors through collaboration with relevant organizations and investors, while providing small and venture companies with an opportunity to take the next step in their growth.

The 16 companies participating in the IR presentations and one-on-one meetings are NeurolMed, Maru Therapeutics, MarkHelz, B-Element, StemExOne, Acrocell Bioscience, Xcell Therapeutics, Youth Bio Global, InstemCare, ILIAS Biologics, GeneMedicine, CLIPS BnC, PAIAN Biotechnology, Pentamedix, Primoris Therapeutics, and HaplScience.
