[MoneyToday] CARM Hosts the 2nd Open Innovation Investment Conference

The Council for Advanced Regenerative Medicine (CARM) announced on the 20th that it will hold the 2nd CARM Open Innovation Investment Conference on the 21st at Hall E on the third floor of COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

The conference is one of CARM’s key annual initiatives aimed at promoting Korea’s advanced regenerative biotechnology industry and supporting promising companies in attracting investment.

This year’s event will be co-hosted with the Korea Regenerative Medicine Fund (KFRM), which oversees the government’s regenerative medicine R&D program, and supported by the Korea Venture Capital Association, Korea Investment Partners, and Daily Partners.

The program will begin with a keynote presentation by Yoon Keon-soo, followed by IR presentations from 14 regenerative medicine companies and Q&A and advisory sessions with approximately 55 domestic investment firms.

A number of strategic investors will also participate to assess investment trends in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors for the second half of the year and explore potential business partnerships. Following the IR presentations, one-on-one meetings between participating companies and investors are also scheduled.

Participating companies include NeurolMed, Maru Therapeutics, MarkHelz, B-Element, StemExOne, Acrocell Bioscience, Xcell Therapeutics, Youth Bio Global, InstemCare, ILIAS Biologics, GeneMedicine, CLIPS BnC, PAIAN Biotechnology, Pentamedix, Primoris Therapeutics, and HaplScience.

CARM said, “We hope the event will help revive weakened investment sentiment in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors through collaboration with relevant organizations and investment firms, while providing small and venture companies with an opportunity to take the next step in their growth.”
