[UNN] Konkuk University Holdings Signs Multilateral MOU

Konkuk University Holdings has signed a multilateral MOU. [UNN / Korea University Newspaper, Reporter Jung Hye-jung] Konkuk University Holdings and its subsidiary StemExOne signed a memorandum of understanding on the 16th with Konkuk University Medical Center and Konkuk University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital to strengthen mutual cooperation.
Under the agreement, the participating organizations will utilize their respective resources and infrastructure to proactively respond to advances in medical technology and changes in related regulations, while strengthening their institutional capabilities through collaboration.
Yoon Dong-yeol, CEO of Konkuk University Holdings, said, “Through this agreement, we will strengthen R&D and growth support for our subsidiaries and university startups by connecting them with Konkuk University’s key strengths, including its university medical center and veterinary hospital. We will also establish a collaborative framework among the university, companies, and hospitals to create meaningful synergies.”
Established in 2020, StemExOne aims to address refractory diseases through the development of high-functionality stem cells and exosome-based therapeutics.
The company has secured foundational technologies for developing treatments targeting a range of age-related and inflammatory conditions, including lacrimal gland disorders such as dry eye disease, salivary gland disorders such as dry mouth, bladder disorders including interstitial cystitis, skin diseases, cartilage disorders, inflammatory diseases, and autoimmune diseases.
In particular, StemExOne plans to collaborate on preclinical and clinical studies for refractory disease therapeutics using its proprietary exosome-based drug delivery system (DDS) technology.
